Never sung with a choir before, or maybe it’s been a while? Don’t think you can sing? No problem—everyone is welcome and no auditions are required. It’s all about having enjoying ourselves while learning new songs, singing in a group, and a shared experience.
What we sing
Making sure we have an eclectic mix of songs, our Choir Leader, Jacqueline Larsen, is introducing us to new numbers every couple of weeks. This keeps us on our toes and makes it easy for newcomers to join at any time in the term block. We always been with vocal warm-ups.
So far our repertoire includes a sea shanty, gospel, folk, and a couple of classic pop songs, arranged as either two- or three-part harmonies.
Our choir leader
Jacqueline Larsen has been directing choirs for over 20 years. Starting while at University in Edinburgh, Jaq has directed groups from 6 singers up to over 100 in pop, gospel and barbershop genres in the UK, Perth, Cairns and Brisbane.
